I was most impressed by this post from Andy Dodwell; I hope you can find the time to read it.
Last Sunday we were thinking about the celebrations of the Queen’s 90th birthday, and also looking at 2 passages from the Bible- one in Luke chapter 7 verse 36- 8:3 and the other in Galatians 2:15-21. As well as this I wanted to respond to some questions I’d been asked about the referendum, but without telling people which box to tick… so this is what I ended up writing. If you prefer to listen, go here.
In the days since last Sunday I’ve been reading and thinking more, and have concluded that I’m going to write a post about which way I’m choosing to vote and how I’ve come to that conclusion… hopefully that will be up tomorrow.
So, last weekend:
Very often when we look at someone else’s position in life, we see their rights and privileges, but when we look to our own lives, we see…

Thanks for sharing, Clare. I am often thinking of you with regard to this upcoming vote. I know if I were a Briton, I’d vote to get out! (couldn’t resist giving my opinion)

I am not satisfied with the decisions that are made in Brussels on our behalf but I am voting to stay in. I think that being part of a European organisation is a good thing and discussion is easier when made from inside an organisation than from outside. Reform is desperately needed as many of the countries are unhappy with the way things are going.

In many ways, that graphic could be tweaked to reflect how Americans are feeling about our presidential election process this time around! I know who I’m voting for and only wish our election was tomorrow because the process has been endless and, yes, often appalling. It was interesting to read this perspective of the Brexit vote.

Yes, I thought the post might be of interest to readers in the States on the run-up to the Presidential elections. I am so sick of this referendum business – I am glad it will be over in a week’s time!

Thank you for sharing this Clare – I’m going to make a cup of coffee and sit and read this properly as it looks like a really interesting perspective, but I shall leave a comment here anyway. What a year this is both with this decision and with our particularly divisive election campaign here in the US – I am certainly sick and tired of the whole thing and the negativity that surrounds it, so I am certain you are desperate to get yours over with. Hopefully common sense on both sides of the Atlantic presides and we can all get on with life!

Well wouldn’t it be wonderful if everyone decided to behave themselves, if they were tactful and polite and told the truth. We have just a couple more days to go and then the recriminations from one side or the other will start depending on which side wins. Oh dear! You have months more of it to go until the elections – I pity you very much! 😉
