I may not have been writing posts for some months but I have been trying to keep up with my blogging friends. One of these friends is Charlotte Hoather, an operatic star in the making. Some of you may know her.
I have been following her career for a few years now and am constantly amazed at her dedication, courage, energy, generosity, humility and most important of all, her tremendous talent.
I include here, a recent post of hers in which she describes how she deals with the pressures of the life she leads. How many of us could cope so well?
If you would like to find out why she decided to embark on an operatic career, the difficulties she has encountered and overcome on the way and why she blogs, please look at the following post. Please do click on the videos she has included. Watch her perform and listen to her wonderful voice.
Have you seen how many WordPress followers she has?! I am in awe of her.

Very interesting posts Clare, thanks for sharing them…. I was interested to read how Charlotte had organised her WordPress blog and how she finds the time to reply to comments etc .. She doesn’t waste a minute of her day does she? Also how disciplined she is in organising things around her busy life & how she takes care of her voice. As a teacher I occasionally worried about my voice in my later years of teaching.

Thank you, Gerrie. It never occurred to me when I was at school that my teachers might suffer from strained voices! I went around with my head in the clouds all the time and was often reprimanded for dreaming! I would never have been able to cope with a career like Charlotte’s.

Good to see a post from you, Clare. I wish Charlotte well in her career. One of my friends used to be an opera singer, so I have some notion of the rigours involved.

Hi Clare–good to see you here! Maybe the fact we’re all so happy to have you back will inspire you to write again soon! I wish my mom wasn’t so far along with dementia–opera was her passion and she would have loved reading about Charlotte.

Thank you very much, Kerry. People have been so kind. I am just about to publish a post I have been working on intermittently for the past few months and you may be interested in part of it.
I am so sorry your Mom has dementia. It is such a cruel affliction.
